BicycleSPACE Wins Livable, Walkable Award
Shop Talk BicycleSPACE was honored by Councilmember Tommy Wells as a "city and neighborhood leader" at his 6th Annual Livable, Walkable Awards reception. The shop was presented with the singular "Brickie" award for a business and joined several other organizations and people who were also acknowledged for their efforts to improve the community we live in.
We were very grateful for this recognition of our accomplishments as we work to continue to transform the city for the better. And, we of course appreciate Tommy Wells for his own leadership to make Washington DC a fantastic place to live. In fact, one of the reasons we located our shop in Ward 6 was because we knew we will be able to count on the Councilmember to champion a sensible yet progressive vision for the area's future.
Thanks also go out to the many folks who nominated us for this award. Through our many rides, classes, and other events, we will work to ensure that our shop remains a fun central gathering spot for the community and will continue to support ways to make Washington DC more livable, walkable, and bike-able.
